Cheldan Construction Ltd. is a company based in Suffolk that deals with all aspects of building, maintenance and home improvements. Whether it be a complete house build or some light modifications, Cheldan can cater, providing first class results tailored to your specific needs and budget.

Cheldan's founder and director Steve Santry studied construction at college in 1986 before gaining a wealth of experience within the family business. He has since set-up Cheldan and introduced a host of experienced employees to the team.

Frequently asked questions

How long until Cheldan can give me a quote for my job?

Cheldan will visit you to discuss your job and will endeavour to give you a quote within two weeks of the visit. For larger jobs quotations will take nearer four weeks due to the fact that we provide personalised quotes that are not purely based on a meterage price. 

How long until Cheldan can start my job?

The waiting list for jobs is variable throughout the year. Cheldan will give you an expected start date for your job and will try our best to fit in with your requirements and time scale. 

Will I recieve a fixed price for my job?

Cheldan's quote will be a fixed price but if any extra jobs are required then these will be added to the fixed price. Some jobs can be carried out at an hourly rate in certain circumstance where a fixed price is not suitable. 

Does my price include VAT?

All of Cheldan's prices include VAT. We are VAT registered. 

When will payment be required?

On smaller jobs, payment is required on completion. Larger jobs would need to be in stage payments. Payment details are individually tailored to each job. 

Will I be given a start and finish time for the job?

Cheldan will give you an estimated start time of your job. We will give an expected finish time for the job which we will adhere to as close as possible. 

Do Cheldan provide and use their own building materials?

Cheldan provide all materials and deal with PBM Buildbase. You can, however, provide your own materials should you choose. 

Am I likely to need planning permission?

Unfortunately even the smallest of jobs need planning permission so if in doubt please contact us with a description of your job and we will advise you appropriately. 

Is Cheldan's work guaranteed?

Cheldan prides itself in carrying out top quality work but unfortunately problems sometimes arise of which we guarantee and would remedy as soon as possible.
